One service we offer is acupuncture. This is the use of very fine needles, that are a quarter of the size of a sewing needle, and insert them into certain areas throughout the body to promote muscular relaxation and stimulate the body’s natural healing systems.

There are two different styles out there and I wanted to explain the difference in simple terms so you can best decide which may help you the most.

•Traditional Chinese Medicine style of acupuncture places needles into meridian or chi pathways with the idea of rebalancing your energy flow throughout your body. An imbalance may have occurred due to injury or illness.

•Medical acupuncture or Dry Needling is referred to as a Western approach. This technique finds anatomically based targets such as “knots” or pressure points and places the needles directly into or around that area.

Acupuncture is one of those treatments that works for some and doesn’t for others however those that respond well usually become massive advocates for it because it gives them amazing results.

We offer the western approach to acupuncture and it can be given as a completely independent treatment or as an additional modality to your session.
